Thank you, I'm Sorry, and Could you please?

Sometime yesterday I broke the one thousand visit barrier on this blog since I installed a counter of some repute which I recommend if you care about such things.

I take this blogging seriously, in case you didn't know.

This is the sole outlet for my writing.

This is step one in a long term plan to a dream that I count on to sustain my family.

The fact that I am getting more visitors in a week than I received in a month two months ago speaks to something aside from the fact that I am posting more.

For that I thank you all.

With the aforementioned attention comes an unspoken expectation. I came once, now I am here again, so entertain/inform/enlighten/tittilate me. I feel that, and I have responded to it as best as I am able to, considering the 65-80 hours a week I work and joys of monogamy.

I would like nothing more than to devote 3-4 hours a day just to reading and writing and infusing this site with more substance, giving you additional insight into what I really feel and what I really think.

That day is not here as of yet. When it arrives, it will be with great fanfare. Until then, I will persevere.

In the meantime, I am sorry.

Thanks to my faithful counter and daily report, I get small tidbits of information about the visitors to this site. Some of the visitors I recognize, some of them I do not. I am not naive. I know some of those visitors get here by accident or may not really even be visiting here at all. But some tidbits show up day after day, but I never hear from them. I would really like to. I am profoundly curious about the public perception of the direction of this site. As I said a few months ago, I t alk to myself all the time, I am here for YOU.

Here is my email address: dparrish2@gmail.com

Use it, when you don't want to leave a public comment.

Use it to say that I make no sense.

Use it so ask why don't I talk more about ___________

Use it to ask why I always talk about ___________

Use it to say thank you.

Use it to say F______ you.

Use it to ask me a personal question.

Use it to say "I am the person from Dover, DE who visits your blog every day and I think what you write is _________."

Use it to say "I am that person from the University of MD who visits your blog each morning and I am glad you aren't tech savvy enough to stalk me and harrass me anymore than you just did."

I assure you all my only purpose here is to encourage dialogue with those who visit this site.

It will make this site better and it will make ME a better writer...

So, I ask, could you please?

Well shoot...even though I don't always comment...when I get through a 2 hour commute everyday with a 8 hour work day and 2 kids...not to mention a active social life ;)...I somehow make my way over here quite often...sometimes leaving it open for a long time ;) I too look at my sitemeter LOL

I really enjoy your writing David...and your comments just as much...You are consistent and honest...insightful and funny as heck!

I keep coming back because of those things...so if you do change anything...Please keep those! From one writer to another...I'm here for all 32 chapters...

The Stiltwalker took my answer.

So, I'll just say thank you. I come around daily because I enjoy your writing. I enjoy your take on certain subjects. I don't agree with everything ... I don't read everything ... but I come by everyday just to see what you're up to.

Thank you. I love the way your write regardless, so limiting myself to one particular subject is hard...

I appreciate your comments on the War in ________ (I'm assuming the black community, relationships et. al., although I'm going to have to run through the archives to find out). I appreciate that as a brother, you bring a difference perspective to the table, and although we may not always agree, I enjoy the discourse.

And if I had a wish as far as subject matter - that you'd write about the war more, although you write about it quite a bit. I guess my wish really is that we (the men & women seemingly engaged in this war) would have this discourse more often.
